Based in Neath Port Talbot, South Wales, Ministry of Furniture is the Business to emerge from Remploy, who were previously  the UK’s largest employer of people with disabilities. We’re proud of our heritage, the business having exited UK Government control in 2013 and now being wholly owned by ex-Remploy people.

Ministry of Furniture are experts in creating and delivering  inspirational, contemporary learning and workplace environments. They have an in-house team of design and project management specialists supported by the very latest in 3D design and BIM modelling software. manufacturing a selection of our own core range of Educational Furniture items, they are also authorised partners to prestige contract furniture brands such as Orangebox, Senator International and Boss Design Group. Ministry’s customer base includes major UK building contractors, over 800  local government and Schools / Colleges across the UK and workplaces such as Swansea City FC, Vision Labs UK and the Welsh Rugby Union.

Most recently, Ministry of Furniture were successful awardees in the upcycling and remanufacture of workplace furniture for the City and County of Swansea Civic Centre. This ground-breaking project featured a re-engineered and re-manufactured range of desks and storage to support agile working practices, whilst also promoting Swansea’s sustainability agenda. As part of the project, Ministry partnered with International Seating Manufacturer Orangebox of Cardiff to re-manufacture its European best-selling G64 task chair. This re-claimed and remanufactured prestige office chair boasts a 61% Carbon Footprint reduction when compared to the same brand new product, is supplied at around 30% of its original cost and carries a 5 year guarantee.  A new business stream has been established to re-manufacture this product for Orangebox in what is now a fast emerging remanufacture market. It creates a further half  dozen jobs for people farthest from the job market in the Swansea / NPT area, offering customers the opportunity to make a real impact on their CSR, environmental and circular economy agendas when selecting this product
