Researchers at Royal Holloway university would like to find out what it is like for parents with learning disabilities to go to a parent peer-support group.

They would like to interview parents with learning disabilities to find out about:
  • Your peer-support group
  • Your experiences of going to the group
  • The good and not so good things about going to the group

‘Blue Monday’ - 15th January 2024.
This is allegedly the most depressing day of the year.

Here are a few things you can do to help combat Blue Monday in your work place.

  • Organise a meditation break - Invite everyone to stretch their legs for some mid-morning meditation
  • Sweet treats - treat your staff to a delicious cake or box of chocolates, what is better than a sugar kick to help fight off the gloom
  • Wear bright colours - make it a bright colour to work day
  • Say thank you  - A personalised note thanking your staff for all their hard work and outlining one of their best points is a good way to cheer up your staff or colleagues
  • Play uplifting music
